FAQ
Questions contractors ask us.
Can’t find yours? Send us a message and a person from the LeadWheel team will get back to you.
What exactly does LeadWheel coordinate?
The people and the timing around a build. You describe the build, LeadWheel lays out the stages in order, and then it texts your subs, crew and suppliers to confirm dates, book deliveries, check arrivals and completions, and line up the next stage. It drafts homeowner updates for you to approve.
Is LeadWheel a CRM?
No. A CRM stores leads and customers and waits for you to act on them. LeadWheel starts once the work is won and does the coordinating itself, by text.
Is it project management software?
Not in the usual sense. A schedule tells people the plan and someone still has to chase it. LeadWheel holds the plan and does the chasing: it sends the texts, reads the replies and moves the stages.
Do I keep working with my own crew and subcontractors?
Yes. It works with the subs and suppliers you already use. You import them, mark your preferred sub for each trade, and they get ordinary text messages. No app, no account.
Does the AI make decisions without me?
It handles routine scheduling with your crew and suppliers on its own: confirmations, reminders and check ins, all logged for you to read. It cannot text a homeowner on its own, it cannot move a date you set, and when the build’s records can’t answer something it asks you.
Can I still control what gets sent?
Yes. Every homeowner message is a draft until you approve it. You can edit or reject it. You can also send your own text on any thread, and dictate a text for the agent to send.
Can LeadWheel coordinate suppliers?
Yes. It asks the crew when they arrive and whether they want the material before or during, tells the supplier that window and asks for a yes. A supplier who is late or out of stock puts the stage on hold and you are told.
Can it manage multiple builds?
Yes. All your builds text from one business number. A sub on two of your builds gets texts that name the build, and when a reply could belong to either, LeadWheel asks them which build it is about.
What happens if LeadWheel doesn’t know what to do?
It asks you. A question it can’t answer from the build’s records, a sub who goes silent, a decline and a delivery problem are all sent to your phone, with the build’s name first.
Does it work from my phone?
Yes. The app is built for a phone, with a mic button to talk instead of type. You can also just reply to its texts from your own mobile.
Do I have to replace my existing tools?
No. LeadWheel does not connect to other software today, and it does not need to. It runs on text messages alongside whatever you use for estimates and invoices.
Where is LeadWheel available?
The United States and Canada.
